GOVERNOR DICKSON UNVEILS TASKS AND INTENTIONS OF HIS ADMINISTRATION


Governor Seriake Dickson says consensus building and reconciliation will be the hallmark of his administration to promote unity among the people. He acknowledged that the task ahead was not an easy one, said government would engage in wide consultations in order to translate his restoration agenda into reality.
Speaking on his administration’s intention to revamp the educational system, Chief Dickson observed that without adequate investment in human capital development, the future of the younger generation would be doomed. He also pointed out that while striving to stem corruption, government will eliminate waste in government institutions and agencies. Accordingly, Chief  Dickson cautioned the people against living ostentatious lifestyles, stressing that the time has come for them to make the necessary sacrifices to move the state forward. In his comments, one time Governor of the state, Chief Deipreye Alamieyesigha urged Bayelsans to rally round the new government to enable it succeed as leadership is a collective task.
Former president of the Ijaw Nation Congress, INC, Chief Joshua Fumudoh, urged the Governor as a former legal adviser to the INC to address the challenges facing the Ijaw ethnic Nationality.
