FEBRUARY 11TH, 2012 GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION RESULTS



Results for eight local government areas for the governorship elections have been released. This followed local government results declared by the INEC in the state capital. According to the electoral commission, the results for Bayelsa shows that People’s Democratic Party scored thirty six thousand three hundred and fifty three votes, followed CAP five thousand eight hundred and nine, AC got one thousand two hundred and fifty, National Conscience Party received one hundred and thirty one votes.
For Ekeremor fifty five thousand four hundred and four were recorded for People’s Democratic Party, congress for progressive change two thousand four hundred and four, CAP one thousand eight hundred and sixty seven and A.C of Nigeria nine hundred and seventy five votes.
Ogbia local government area PDP has fifty thousand eight hundred and forty eight votes, followed by one thousand two hundred and seventy seven scored by CAP, AC received one thousand eighty five and CPC one hundred and eighty five.
PDP led the sagbama local government area with fifty one thousand seventy votes while CAP had one thousand seven hundred and eighty eight and CPC got four hundred and fourteen votes.
Kolokuma/Opokuma local government area PDP received eighteen thousand one hundred and seven, CAP four hundred and ninety votes, ACN three hundred and twenty six, while CPC got ninety four votes.
Nembe local government area saw PDP receiving fifty seven thousand five hundred and eighty nine votes, CAP two thousand eighty votes, CAN one thousand seventy six, CPC got one hundred three votes.
Southern Ijaw local government area PDP received sixty six thousand six hundred and sixty one, CAP seven thousand nine hundred and seventy two, CAN one thousand six hundred and seventy nine and , CPC two hundred and seventy eight votes.
PDP scored sixty one thousand eight hundred and twenty in Yenagoa local government area, followed by CAP two thousand one hundred and one, CAN one thousand eight hundred and forty eight, while CPC scored three thousand and eighty one votes.
