BRASS GREENFIELD REFINERY AND LNG PROJECTS


The federal government has stated that it will aggressively pursue the execution of the proposed Greenfield Refinery and Brass Liquefied Natural Gas projects in the state to ensure their timely completion. Vice President, Namadi Sambo stated this in Yenagoa  when he paid a courtesy call on the Chairman of the state traditional ruler’s council.
Describing the projects as strategic, Alhaji Sambo announced that government has already commenced the designing and funding arrangement for the Brass LNG. He further stated that the state wil be one of the beneficiary states of the federal government’s proposed railway project which he noted will go a long way in enhancing the transport system as well as open up the state to more commercial activities.
Responding, Chairman of the State Traditional Rulers Council, King Joshua Igbaraga commended the party and Vice President for maintaining a harmonious working relationship with President Goodluck Jonathan.
