BAYELSA BORN IDOL CONTESTANT VISITS STATE BROADCASTING CORPORATION’S GENERAL MANAGER

A contestant in the ongoing singing reality show ‘Nigeria Idol’, Ebi Paul Oti has paid a courtesy visit on the general manager of the State Broadcasting Corporation Mr. Okpoitari Diongoli. Mr. Oti, who hails from Trofani thanked the general manager and commended the station for its continuous support to talented Bayelsans. He explained that he was in the station to formally notify the management that he is participating in the on-going talent show.
Mr. Oti, who is the only Bayelsan left in the ‘Wild Card’ stage of the competition, stressed that survival at this stage was dependent on the volume of votes he can garner to ensure a place in the final top ten of the competition. He appealed to Bayelsans to vote by texting “Jog to 33680”. Voting ends by twelve midnight tomorrow and voters can vote as many times as possible.
The general manager of the corporation, Mr. Diongoli expressed delight that there are gifted Bayelsans who have always made the state proud. Mr. Diongoli said it is a thing of joy to see youths channeling their energies towards positive ventures. He encouraged the contestant to be optimistic and put in his best. He promised to support the contestant saying it is an opportunity to correct the negative impression the rest of the world has concerning youths of the state.
