The second annual public lecture series and end of year activities of the Federated Correspondents Chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalist, Bayelsa State holds on Thursday. The lecture series which came into existence last year under the chairmanship of Mr. Kola Oredipe of Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria is a way of contributing to the social-political development of the state.
The public lecture is schedule to take place at the NUJ conference hall by ten ‘0’ clock in the morning. The Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomole is to deliver the public lecture titled” Democracy and the Burden of Development”.
Governor Timipre Sylvais expected to be the special guest of honour while Commissioner of Information, Chief Nathan Egba-Ologo, is to be guest of honour as the Chairman state council of NUJ, Comrade Tarinyo Akono host the events. It urges all journalists and the public to attend.
