GOVERNOR SYLVA WAS COMMENDED IN SUSTAINING PEACE IN THE STATE

Governor Timipre Sylva has again received commendation for his effort in sustaining peace in his state. The recommendation was given by the Speaker, House of Representative, Alhaji Aminu Tampbuwal, who led a delegation of members of the House to Yenagoa,the state capital to attend the funeral ceremony of the father-in-law of Mr. Nicholas Mutu, the member representing Bomadi/Patani Federal Constituency.

Mr Leo Ogor noted that it was a singular efforts of the state governor that gave birth to the federal government amnesty programme. The speaker also lauded Governor Sylva for maintaining a cordial working relationship with the National Assembly.

Chief Timipre Sylva expressed appreciation to the members of the House of Representatives for identifying with one of their own, Mr. Nicholas Mutu, who also doubles as the House Committee chairman on Niger Delda Development Commission, NDDC.

The Governor observed that the presence of over twenty federal lawmakers in the state was a clear testimony of their solidarity with Mr Mutu on the occasion of the funeral rites of his father-in-law, Mr. Nelson Aladinyo Nyingi,who hails from Igbomotoru in Southern Local Government Area of the State.

Governor Sylva later conducted the funeral lawmakers round project sites in the state capital.
