GOVERNOR SYLVA INSPECTING PROJECTS


Government has made plans to collaborate with the Federal Government to undertake training of some youths under the post amnesty programme in the State Skill Acquisition Centre. While inspecting a number of on-going projects in the state capital, Yenagoa, Governor Sylva describe the skill acquisition centre as a centre for excellence. He further expressed that Hyundai Heavy Industry has already agreed to partner with the government for the provision of equipment as well as undertake training of the youths.
According to the Governor the company is expected to sponsor the training of the youth to South Korea for them to become trainers upon their return to the state. Stating that the government will handle the financial aspect under the partnership stated that the centre has archived ninety five percent completion and was impress with the pace of work.
While inspecting the Transparency Plaza at OX-Bow Lake,the Governor said the structure was being built with fund recovered from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC from Chief Deipreye Alamieyesegha administration.
He noted that transparency plaza is a symbol of transparency. Other projects inspected were the state library, the renovation of work at the cultural centre and the Gloryland Drive, which is the new gateway to the state capital.
