The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Rumour Management and propaganda, Mr. Olu Orubo has urged supporters of Governor Timipre Sylva to remain steadfast as current challenges are temporary. Mr. Orubo enjoined newsmen in Yenagoa to discountenance rumours concerning the ambitions of Governor Sylva, emphasizing that the Governor is poised to continually serve the people.
The SSA described the Governor as a core democrat who is ready to constructively engage his opponents by creating a level playing field for all aspirants. According to him, Chief Sylva is a founding member of the PDP, a party guided by laws by which the National Working Committee of the party will eventually give him the nod to participate in the primary election scheduled 19th November, 2011.
According to him, Governor Sylva will continue to sell his programmes and policies to those who are key drivers of his administration, stressing that government is not run on the pages of Newspapers or social networks.
