GRAND FINALE/SECOND EDITION OF READING AND SPELLING BEE COMPETITION


Wife of the Deputy Governor Mrs. Iyorozitei Seibarugu has advised students to take reading as crucial for their growth and development. While speaking as Special Guest at the grand finale of the second edition of the Reading/Understanding and Spelling Bee Competition in Amassoma, Mrs. Seibarugu stated that students should not see schooling in the rural areas as a disadvantage however urged them to work hard by studying as it is the only way to self actualization and success.
The Commissioner for Education, Prof. Tuemi Asuka who described the initiator, Mrs. Vivian Imananaghan as a free thinker commended her efforts in addressing important aspect of National development through education and urged her to go beyond Amassoma.
Chairman of the occasion who is also Chairman of SUBEB, Mr. Rhodesia Whyte, Commissioner Special Duties Mrs. Christie Ebeli, spokesman for Ogboin Ibe Chiefs Council, Chief Kingdom Yeri all commended the initiator and urged the students to take their studies seriously.
Coordinator for the Centre for Gender Initiative and Development, Mrs. Vivian Ere Imananagha said her desire to revive the culture of ready and studying necessitated the programme and commended those who participated.
The high point of the occasion was the formal presentation of laptops, uniforms, text/notebooks and other learning materials to winners.
