FACILITY TOUR OF WATERWORKS IN YENAGOA, THE BAYELSA STATE CAPITAL.

The House committees on Water Resources of the State House of Assembly, Ministry of Information and Ministry of Water Resources have embarked on a facility tour of water works in Yenagoa Metropolis. Chairman, House committee on water resources, Mr. Obiene Iniobio said he is impressed by the availability of portable drinking water across Yenagoa. He further noted that despite the widespread of the waterworks in the streets of Yenagoa, the hours of water supply should be increased by the Water Resources Ministry to meet the consumption of the residents. He used the opportunity to call on those sabotaging the efforts of government to desist from it or be ready to face the full weight of the law.
Some of the areas visited where water was running, the users commended the state government for bringing safe and portable drinking water to their neighbourhoods. The areas visited include Okaka, House of Assembly. Ovom, Civil Servants’ Quarters, Swali. Etegwe and some damaged pipes at Otiotio road.
