BAYELSA STATE TOURISM DEVELOPMENT AND PUBLICITY BUREAU SET TO SPONSOR A FILM PROJECT

The Bayelsa State Tourism Development and Publicity Bureau in its efforts to promote tourism and launder the image of the state, has announced plans to kick start the first ever Bayelsa film project.
The Director General of the Bureau, Mr. Jokori Macaulay stated that the decision was taken in view of the Bureau’s resolve to put together a pool of creative talents in the state to drive the hospitality and Entertainment industries. He also said, youths from the recently organized film training by the Tourism Bureau in collaboration with the African Film Academy will be engaged in the project.
Mr. Jokori said the bureau has secured the collaboration of top Nollywood stars and Movie Professionals to ensure that World class films are produced, using the best locations in the state. He also used the medium to call on beneficiaries of the African Film Academy training to attend a crucial meeting with him at the conference hall of the State Tourism Development and Publicity Bureau along Isaac Boro Expressway by 12 noon next week Monday(8/08/11)
