BAYELSA KIDS ARE BACK FROM SHANGHAI

The wife of the Bayelsa state Governor, Mrs. Alayingi  Sylva , assured the less privileged children from the state, of governments commitment to tackle  their needs and aspirations; she said this when she received the children who represented the state and the country at the international children’s Art and Culture Festival in Shanghai China. This trip was facilitated by Her Excellency and sponsored by the State Government through the states Ministry of Gender and Social Development. Mrs. Sylva was very delighted that the children who were between the ages of ten and fifteen were picked from various communities in the state; and they include orphans, children of widows and other less privileged.
Mrs. Sylva commended the Director of the Child Development Department, Mrs. Vivian Odiowei for her supervisory role in China. The permanent secretary of Gender and Social Development Ministry Dr. Ekio Promise and Mrs. Vivian Odiowei both thanked Her Excellency for her generosity.
