MILLENNIUM DEVELOPMENT GOALS PROJECTS IN BAYELSA RATED AS ONE OF THE BEST IN THE COUNTRY

The Secretary to the State Government, Alabo Gideon Ekeuwei has rated the Millennium Development Goals projects in Bayelsa as one of the best in Nigeria.                                                                                               The S.S.G explained that from 2008 to date, the state has succeeded in plowing the Millennium Development Goals fund into major projects such as the multiplication of plantain and banana farm at Igbogene, The Construction of a primary health centre at Koroama, a Farm Training Centre at Sabagreia and the Local content capacity development institute at Asuama in Kolokuma/Okpokuma L.G.A. Other projects embarked on are, Solar powered water project at Trofani, Okoloba and Odi health care centers were also constructed and upgraded in the same places such as Azuzuama, Bulu-orua, Obrigbene, Seleama in Brass L.G.A, Idema in Ogbia L.G.A as well as Sagbama, Asamabiri Famgbe.
 The S.S.G said a vocational and health care center is near completion in Otuoke while medical equipments worth millions of naira have been brought to be distributed to all the health care centers in the state.
