KOLGA ENDORSES GOVERNOR SYLVA

As the 2012 gubernatorial elections in Bayelsa State draws closer, stakeholders from Kolokuma/Okpokuma L.G.A have resolved to work collectively for the re-election of Governor Timipre Sylva. This was resolved at a 1day meeting organised by the Kolokuma /Okpokuma Elders Assembly at Kaiama, Headquarters of the L.G.A.
The meeting was attended by both political and public office holders from the area. The elders emphasized the need for the people of the area to set aside their political differences and work for a common goal of re-electing Governor Timipre Sylva come 2012.
The Deputy Speaker of Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Mr Fini Angaye, speaking at the meeting said Governor Sylva has approved the construction of Igbedi-Amassoma road and the internal road linking the Kolga secretariat at Kaiama. He also commended Governor Sylva for appointing their sons and daughters and that the people of Kolga had never had it so good since the creation of Bayelsa state.
