GOVERNOR SYLVA SENDS CONDOLENCE MESSAGE TO THE PEOPLE OF NORWAY

Governor Timipre Sylva has sent a condolence message to the government and people of Norway over the tragedic incident of last Fridaywhich saw the death of  over ninety persons.                                                                                                                                                         In a condolence letter sent to the Norwegian Ambassador to Nigeria,Governor Sylva said he was deeply saddened by the incident.                                                                                                                                                      A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor Mr Doifie Ola, conveying Governor Timipre Sylva's message read "My thoughts go out to the relatives and friends of the victims of this incident,this is a tragedy not only for the people of Norway, it is an attack on the common humanity that we share, a tragedy that once again reminds us of the collective danger and burden we face as members of civilized humanity in a world that increasingly harbour hate ideologues fundamentalists and extremists".
According to him, such a terror attack is "unacceptable in a free and democratic world" no matter the level of grievances.
Governor Timipre Sylva  pointed out that Norway is known in the world as an oasis of peace, a paradise of democracy in the Scandinavia stressing that the great attraction of Norway to other countries has been their peaceful nature.
