EPEBU COMMUNITY DISOWNS COMMITTEE

The acting Obanema of Epebu in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, the Council of Chiefs and the Community Development Committee (CDC)  as well as the Youth Council have disowned the Peace and Reconciliation Committee, saying it did not have their mandate to dissolve various arms of government.

In a statement issued out, the Chairman of the Chiefs Council, Chief K.D. Okisi-Apiri, the CDC Chairman, Mr. Dema Daufa and the Youth President Mr. Udoji Sunday, said the purported dissolution was null and void. The community also announced that its end of year general meeting will hold on the thirty-first of this month by eleven ‘o’ clock in the morning at the community town hall.
