REACTIVATION OF ABANDONED HOUSING PROJECT IN TWON, BRASS.

The Bayelsa State Housing and Property Development Authority says it’s working out modalities to reactivate work at the abandoned Housing Estate, in Twon-Brass. This was revealed by the General Manager of the Authority, Mr. Inemo Oruebimiekumo during an interactive session with Chiefs, Elders, Youths, Women and CDC executives at Twon Brass. This project started way back during the Melford Okilo Administration in Old Rivers State and has been abandoned for so long. Mr. Oruebimiekumo noted that it is the desire of the Bayelsa State Governor, Chief Timipre Sylva to provide decent accommodation for the citizenry especially the brass community where an influx of people for the LGN is been expected. The people of Brass were commended for their hospitality and protecting the parcel of land belonging to the authority over the years. As a result, they would be the primary beneficiary  of the houses when the estate is built. Chief Potts Johnson promised to ensure conducive environment for the success of the Housing Project.
